Brisbane City

Saturday, August 15, 2009 by w4yne , under

Sorry for the late update, sadly my house internet service has an unexpected problem. So, i was not able to go online.
Luckily i was able to borrow internet connection from friends and using the internet in library to survive. But, presentations next week, so i really got to fix the internet at home.
Lets pick up from where we left off, I was talking about the brisbane city.

Usually,i take the bus from Moggil Road, which was about 15 minutes walking distance from my place Swann Road directly to the city (Queens Street).

One of the main reason i took a trip to the city from Taringa is to purchase chairs and some stationary, knowing that "Office Works" is are a fair price, my house mates accompanied me to the city.

While walking we stumbled upon mechanical KANGAROOS

Behold, below is the casino, and guess what.. Its next to the library.

I bet you guys are wondering why are there round human-size balls around the area.

Actually i didn't know what are those. But, i did attempt to PUSH it.

After purchasing the stuff, we all agreed that we were hungry and started thinking about what to buy for dinner. In that moment, we were tired, so instead of having a proper meal in the city, we decided to cook ourselves and bought a snack. Sushi!

Sat there with the product from Office works and we were ready to eat.
See my chair in the middle.

Library.

See. told you i attempted to push

Alright, all done there. Now, how to go back home. Since its my first time in the city, the guys took me to sit the ferry (CityCat) back to St. Lucia.

At the Ferry Stop. Stated as North Quay 2 (direction towards St Lucia)

See the beautiful Ferris Wheel on the opposite side of the Brisbane River, its known as South Bank. There are man-made beaches on that side.

A picture with the City Cat before we went up.
There are two ways to go to South Bank, by ferry or...
we could walk this bridge below.

At first i was aware on why the boys insisted me to sit at the front of the ferry,

Then i soon realized its really indescribable. Scenery of the sunset around the river. Look for yourselves.

Look at how clear the water is.. -.-
Fact: Brisbane River has SHARKS! not big ones, but still.. THEY BITE!
